WHAT THE NUMBERS MEAN

LUFS, True Peak & LRA explained

Integrated LUFS

Average loudness across the whole track — the number streaming platforms normalise to.

Short-term & Momentary LUFS

Loudness over 3-second and 400-millisecond windows, for catching loud sections.

True Peak (dBTP)

Inter-sample peak level. Keep it under −1 dBTP to avoid clipping after lossy encoding.

LRA (Loudness Range)

The dynamic spread between quiet and loud passages, measured in LU.

PSR (Peak-to-Short-term Ratio)

How much transient punch is left after limiting — a quick read on how squashed a master is.

Correlation (stereo phase)

+1 is mono-compatible, 0 is wide, negative risks phase cancellation in mono playback.
